This weeks ten-minute presentation was delivered by Darren Evans of Crown Imperial Kitchens, and a most enlightening and entertaining presentation it was.
Every so often, a member will bring along a prop to demonstrate how his or her business works, something to visually represent a particular skill or service…in keeping with his wonderfully ‘bespoke’ service, Darren brought along an actual person.
Keelea Badham is the Regional Sales Manager for Franke, designers and manufacturers of some of the finest sinks and kitchen accessories in the world.
Fanke are just one of the premium suppliers used by Crown Imperial and Keelea was happy to speak eloquently and purposefully about her wonderful products and how the fit with the Crown brand.
It was great to see and hear from a supplier with so much confidence in a trading partner, Crown Imperial are trusted to use products like Fanke because of the hard work of people like Darren, experts in their field that can be relied upon to introduce such a premium product to their clients.
Darren explained that while Crown Imperial kitchens come in all shapes and sizes and are created to match most budgets, quality is never compromised. ‘Choosing a Crown Imperial kitchen is a considered purchase, we are not the cheapest on the market but quality is non-negotiable…’
All Crown kitchens are manufactured in Great Britain, they are sold through a network of specialist dealers and are built to last. Features such as soft-close drawers are fitted as standard (Darren is VERY proud of his soft-close drawers) and all kitchens are available in a choice of colours and finishes with super-fast delivery available.
One of the great joys of a ten-minute presentation is that it allows us to get to know the member personally, of course we all know one another but having a clear floor to talk about oneself is a rare opportunity. We all know Darren as a lively, enthusiastic BNI’er and his contribution to the group is beyond question…the ten-minutes though gave free reign to demonstrate what could easily be an alternative career as stand-up comedian!
A very entertaining presentation which contained laughs as well as insight into the business of bespoke fitted kitchens ended with a couple of quick questions.
Jovan Maric of Square Daisy asked ‘Where can we see the kitchens?’ Darren said that in addition to the houses of a few BNI members, 50+ fully fitted kitchens can be viewed at the showroom in Daventry, along with examples at retailers in the area.
…and finally, Roy Forstner of Carlton St Martins complimented Darren on the quality of his ‘Big Blue Book’ of kitchens and accessories, not only is it packed with useful information but it also doubles as a great clipboard!
